The Last Chant of the Owl
The Owl sings in the cold shadow
Its lament shatters the skin of the wind
An ancient echo, a broken cry
The voice of a town fading thin
The jungle is silent, its spirit wounded
IIs rivers dry, its blood turned gray
Old footprints have been erased
Oblivion was left on the ground
The ancestors call from within the mist
Their faces tremble at dawn’s dim light
But cruel time has buried them deeply
Their names now lost to endless night
Do you remember us, sons of dust?
We were root, fire, and drum
We were mountain, we were ashes
And now we are only a hum
The Owl weeps, the last witness
Eternal guardian of what once lived

In the mist, old voices whisper
Echoes of shadows in the gray winds
The mountains sing in a sleeping tongue
An endless sorrow no one sees
Their slopes are cover in moss and rain
Their veins run deep with rivers wide
But in their eyes of stone and shadow
The trace of those who vanished hides
Men once climbed with flaming arrows
With hunger carved into their skin
They did not hear the thunder warning
Nor see the jaguar’s golden grin
The forest hushed its song of life
The silent breeze refused to cry
And in the thicket, laughter faded
Their steps were swallowed by the shadows
Never returned, only silence lingers
Haunting the peaks where they were lost
And elders still leave humble offerings
For those the mountain took as cost
The Tears of Sulá
There in the sky, pale and alone
Sulá wanders in her eternal walk
Trapped in shadows, a silent sorrow
A white lament over the sea
Her sad eyes look at the earth
Where her song used to be
But men, blind and deaf
Forget her voice, let her cry
Her tears fall like a wandering river
Silver threads go through the forest
Kissing the leaves, touching the stones
Cold whispers in the darkness
Sometimes she shines with golden light
As if she still wanted to speak
But soon the darkness drowns her light
And she hides behind the pale sea
Oh, sweet moon, mother of the night
Who remains alone in your silence
Perhaps one day we will hear your pain

We were forests, rivers, and mountains
A fiery breeze, ancestral song
We were voices in the density
Dancing shadows beneath the old trees
The moon spoke, the wind listened
The jaguar watched with the eyes of the sun
The earth was a mother, the water, its blood
And the thunder its great creator's cry
Our drums beat at dawn
Old spells floated in peace
But strange faces came
With iron and hunger to tear out
They burned names, broke the sky
Silenced the echo of the great Sibö
And exile remained in our veins
Shorn roots in a sea of pain
Even at night the jungle murmurs
The dead sing among the leaves
Because the earth never forgets
And with each sprout it returns its course
Ancient, strong, hidden roots
Await the day of rebirth
When the winds bring their language
